Mike Simms

Mike Simms is an Operating Advisor with Cambridge Capital. He brings more than three decades of experience in procurement leadership, global operations, and enterprise technology, and works with portfolio companies to sharpen enterprise positioning, accelerate go-to-market execution, and build the commercial credibility required to win and grow Fortune 500 relationships.

Mike spent more than 25 years at Microsoft, culminating in six years as Chief Procurement Officer. He led an organization of more than 250 professionals managing over $20 billion in annual spend across 60,000 suppliers. He co-chaired the Indirect Procurement Council and co-developed the COPC Indirect Procurement Standard, a global benchmark for procurement excellence.

Mike is Founder and CEO of The Simms Group, a practitioner-led procurement advisory firm serving Fortune 500 enterprises and the providers that sell to them, and Co-Founder and COO of Sivuno, an AI-powered spend intelligence platform. He began his career as an aerospace engineer at ELDEC Corporation.
